Public Notices MASSEY UNIVERSITY PALMERSTON NORTH LEONARD CONDELL SCHOLARSHIPS THESE scholarships are awarded by the Leonard Condell Farming Scholarship Trust established under the terms of the will of the late Leonard Condell. They are administered by Massey University and are tenable at Massey University or other New Zealand Universities offering similar courses and degrees. THREE classes of Scholarships are available:— (a) Postgraduates Scholarships These are awarded annually with an emolument of up to $3OOO. (b) Ph.D. Scholarships These are awarded for a period of two years with an extension of one year subject to satisfactory reports. The emolument is up to the current value of the U.G.C. Postgraduate Scholarship (1981 - $4020) per annum. (c) Postdoctoral Scholarships A postdoctoral scholarship will normally be awarded ohce every three years for a period of one year. The emolument shall be up to the current value of the Massey University Postdoctoral Fellowship (1981 — approximately $16,000). Additional grants up to a total of $5OO per annum may also be allocated for minor items of equipment, travelling and sundry expenses. Candidates must be New Zealand-born graduates in sciences, agriculture or related disciplines (e.g. horticulture, veterinary science, food technology, biotechnology) and must enter fields of research for the benfit of some branch of agriculture in New' Zealand. THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1977 HEATHCOTE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME REVIEW PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF VARIATION NO. 11 PUBLIC NOTICE Is hereby giveh that pursuant to a resolution of the Heathcote County Council made on the 26th day of November 1981 the following Variation No. 11 has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1977. VARIATION NO. 11 This Variation relates to an area of some 49.45 hectares of land situated at the head of the Bowenvale Valley being Lots 1,2 and 3 on D.P. 37778. This land is zoned Rural In the District Scheme Review. The Council proposes to uplift the designation over this land — “Proposed Public Reserve for Recreation Purposes (Future Regional Reserve)” as the Council considers that the cost of acquiring the land for a public reserve for recreation purposes is not warranted. Submissions and objections to the Variation or any part thereof may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public interest. Submissions and objections shall be in writing in Form C prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and County Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect and shall be lodged at the office of the Council not later than Friday, February 19, 1982. At a later date every submission and objection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be entitled to do so.
