DUNEDIN CHILD ABUSE PILOT PROJECT Applications are invited for a TEAM SOCIAL WORKER THE APPOINTEE will be employed by the Dunedin District Office of the Department of Social Welfare, but fully seconded to the Dunedin District Child Abuse Committee — a multidisciplinary group representing services concerned with child abuse. The Pilot Project has been operating since December 1, 1980. ' Duties will involve convening and attending meetings of the District Committee and case conferences as required, receiving notification of cases and ensuring appropriate follow-up, short term case work assessment and consultancy role, and making a contribution to education and training programmes in this area of work. Administrative competence and the ability to co-ordinate and' liaise between practitioners and agencies is necessary. Applicants preferably should have a qualification in social work, and experience in social work with the family or in the field of child care. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Appointent will be for a year in the first instance, commencing in February, 1982.
