Canty runners for U.S.
A team of 12 Canterburymen and women runners will tour- the United States and Canada for six weeks in May and June this year under the auspices of the Canterbury Cross-Country Committee. A budget of $20,000 has been settled on and fundraising activities are planned.
The tour will include races in Los Angeles. Oregon. Vancouver (Canada), and will conclude with the famous 15km Cascade Run-off at the end of June.
Nominations were opened yesterday and will close on February 14. The team, which w-ill be chosen by the Canterbury cross-country selectors. Messrs Nolan and Dave Thomas, will be announced on April 17.
