Gay Gordon put down
Gay Gordon, the winner of eight races in the early and mid-60s and the sire of several winners including Cool Gay and Big Rod. both twominute performers in the United States, was put down recently. Gay Gordon, whose wins included both legs of a double worth £142.16s as a five-year-old at the Waikouaiti meeting in April, 1965, w T as 22 years of age.
