Christchurch Erebus appeal

Sir.— Mr Justice Mahon's determination to stick to his guns, even amidst challenges by Mr Muldoon, is a quality most admirable and I would hasten to add that the Judge deserves the public's heartiest congratulations and also tangible public support for a Privy Council hearing. It was encouraging to read of Mr Pridmore's resolve to initiate a fund for the case before the Privy Council and of the overwhelming support he has received towards this venture. 1 would urge other right-think-ing New Zealanders to support Mr Pridmore's efforts and. by doing so. fulfil the New Year resolution for many: to clear up the Mount Erebus mess. As a student at the University of Canterbury, I shall request the Students' Association to support Mr Pridmore’s fund by donating a part of my contribution to further Mr Pridmore's purpose which has the principles of justice at heart — Yours, etc.. NITYANANDAM SAMI. January 13. 1982.
