Leading issues gain
Big gains by leading issues caused the N.Z.U.C. industrial index to gain a further 5.82 points on a moderately active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. Feltex rose 6c, Fletcher Challenge 12c, N.Z. Forest Products 7c, and Rothmans Bc. The lack of scrip during the morning only call may have been a contributing factor to the firm trend. The ANZ Banking Group, Alliance Textiles, Crown Consolidated and National Insurance eased.
