Match delayed
A match between the Canterbury A- and B cricket teams scheduled for yesterday was postponed/and will be played this evening and tomorrow evening at Lancaster Park. The game was postponed because players involved in the Inter-Island limited over match at Alexandra on Saturday could not reach Christchurch to time for yesterday’s match. This evening the A team will bat from 5.30 pm. to, 8 p.m. and on Tuesday evening the B team
will get its chance to prove itself against the A team’s bowling attack. Bryan Ritchie, who left the field in a club game with a badly bruised knee on Saturday will be playing this evening, but the extent of the injury to Craig Thiele’s shoulder, sustained in the Inter-Island game is not known. The Canterbury fastmedium bowler delivered only seven of an allowable 10 overs at Alexandra.
