Missing girl found
PA Whangarei A Whangarei girl, aged eight, missing since 7 p.m. on Friday, and the subject of an intense police search, was found safe and well about 6.30 p.m. yesterday at a nearby home. The police had held fears for Georgina Natasha Waiperi’s safety, when a wide search of parks, scrubland, and out-of-the-way places during the week-end, failed to fipd any trace of her. The mystery ended when parents at a house near her home in the south-eastern suburb of Whangarei heard a radio report of the search. The full-scale search was called off about 7 p.m.
