NZPA London Two goals in the last eight minutes gave struggling Sunderland an unexpected 3-2 English soccer.league championship win at Manchester City. England’s striker, Trevor Francis, scored twice for seventh-placed City after Stan Cummins put Sunderland ahead just before half-time. But Gary Rowell and Barry Venison scored in the closing minutes and steered Sunderland to its second away success in division one this season. home win over the champions, Aston Villa — the only other ■first division match played as arctic conditions reduced the English and Scottish programme to 11 matches.
