Wall Street easy last week
■ Share prices on Wall Street fell over a broad front last week, but recouped some of the losses on Friday, and analysts said that the market may have started its historical year-end rally. One of them said that the market is generally stronger in December, and that some of Friday’s gains were due to bargain hunting in anticipation of that trend. He also said pressure from the Polish crisis was abating because the situation did not appear to be worsening. The Dow Jones industrial index lost 10.75 points during the week, to 875.76.
