Otago cricket side
PA Dunedin Bruce Abernethy, an Australian who came to Dunedin earlier this year, is one of two newcomers to the Otago Shell series cricket team announced last evening. The other player representing Otago for the first time is Brendon Bracewell, the New Zealand pace bowler, who has transferred from Central Districts.
The Otago team is: Warren Lees (captain), Wayne Blair (vice-captain), John Bracewell, Richard Haskin, Bruce Blair, Garth Dawson. lan Rutherford, Bruce Abernethy, Derek Walker, Peter Hills, Brendon Bracewell, and Stephen Boock.
