Public Notices AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Section 22(2) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1977 that a restricted ftre season exists from Saturday, December 19,1981 until March 31,1981. The restricted ■ fire season shall apply to the whole area of Akaroa. During the restricted fire season it is an offence to light any fire in the open without a written permit from the fire officer for the area. Thermettes and barbecues are permitted only In the areas .sign-posted for that purpose. These are located approximately as follows: PIGEON BAY - Two metres below seashore edge and fronting Domain and adjacent to slipway. LE BONS BAY - North end of beach and five metres below marram grass. LITTLE AKALOA - Seashore at main bridge. OKAINS BAY — Ten metres below the marram grass. AKAROA — On netball court south of grandstand. ROBINSONS BAY - Picnic spot by boat launching area. DUVAUCHELLE - Opposite hall, between road and seashore. FRENCH FARM - Opposite Valley Road, between road and foreshore. WAINUI - Beach access track, to Cemetery Road, between road and seashore. (2) Hold the telephone line until the Duty Officer answers at the Brigade Rooms and give details of the fire to him.
