Fewer on dole
PA - Wellington The number of people receiving unemployment benefit fell 806 to 30,049 in the two weeks to November 27, said the Social Welfare Department yesterday. Two weeks earlier, the number on the dole was 30,855. Of those receiving the benefit at November 27, 19,064 were males and 10,985 were females. In those figures, 4232 males and 5211 females were under 20 years of age. Two weeks earlier, 4358 males and 5130 females were under 20.
