Hinckley hearing
A Federal judge has scheduled a hearing for December - 14 to determine whether John Hinckley, accused of trying to kill President Reagan in March, is mentally competent to stand trial. Hinckley, aged 26, is scheduled to go on trial on January 4. He has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. — Washington.
