Yachting speaker
Betsy Gelenitis, who has twice been placed in the top five in women’s world Laser class yachting championships will be in Christchurch tomorrow evening as part of a busy coaching tour of this country. Accompanied by the New Zealand Yachting Federation’s national youth coach, Harold Bennett, of Auckland, Miss Gelenitis will be speak-
ing at the Christchurch Yacht Club at Redcliffs. Her main mission on her first trip to the South Island is to assist at the regional training camp for youth and women skippers at Timaru from Friday until Monday. When she returns to Christchurch next month it will be in a competitive role, to sail in the New Zealand Laser contest.
