Public Notices ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL ELLESMERE DISTRICT NOXIOUS PLANTS AUTHORITY THE Ellesmere District Noxious Plants Authority, pursuant to the Noxious Plants Act. 1978, provides and maintains a district programme in respect of ■implementing its requirements and functions under the Act. A copy of the programme is available from the County Office, or Noxious Plants Offices. The Authorities Policy includes the enforcement of the clearance of Nodding Thistle. Gorse (Subsidisable), Broom (Subsidisable) and Nassella Tussock (Subsidisable) and the encouragement to clear Wild Oats. Blackberry, Hemlock, Burdoch, Hawthorn, Boxthorn, Barley Grass, Californian Thistle, Wing Thistle and Vipers Burglows. The clearance of Gorse and Broom by mechanical means is acceptable. Further information on the policy and implementation of it, can be obtained from the Noxious Plants Offices.
