FA \ Wellington The 1981 winner of the $5OOO Choysa Bursary for Children’s Writers is Ms Beverly Dunlop, of Napier. Ms Dunlop’s work has been printed frequently in the Education Department’s “School Journal,” and at pre-
sent she. has a childrens novel with a publisher. She will use the bursary to work on a novel set in the 19405. about a 12-year-oid daughter of Russian immigrants who learns to cone with living in New Zealand. The three juoges for the award were Mr Jack Lasenby, of - Wellington
Teachers’ College: Mr Alistair Campoell, a poet, of Wellington, and Ms Betty Gildendate, of Auckland Teachers’-College. The bursary was awarded by the Parliamentary Undersecretary to the Minister of Arts (Mr Comber), al a function at Turnbull House, Wellington/-, .
