Light look at hospitals
North Canterbury Hospital Board staff began laughing at themselves last evening when the annual Christchurch hospital revue had its opening night. The 2%-hour show, held in the Great Hall at Sunnyside Hospital, will have repeat performances this evening and tomorrow evening. "A Right Royal Demand Performance” takes a lighter look at hospital life and parodies staff members. Rank offers no immunity to attacks of satire and even the medical superintendent-in-chief, Dr R. A. Fairgray, comes in for his share of ribbing. Proceeds from the revue will go towards buying new radio-telephone equipment for the St John Ambulance Association. Last year about $3OOO was raised for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
