One thing leads to another
PA Dunedin The Dunedin police got more than they bargained for yesterday when they chased a secondary schoolboy who had made off with his school’s van. They followed the youth, who was dressed in his school uniform, to Oamaru where he abandoned the
vehicle on a side road. The chase continued on foot until the youth was found hiding in a patch of cannabis plants. He will face charges in the Children and Young Persons Court. • The police are now trying to locate the person responsible for cultivating the plants.
