Ace worth $20,000
NZPA Melbourne An English golf professional, John Hay, has clinched a $20,000 cash prize with a hole-in-one in his opening round of the Australian Open golf championship at the Victoria club.
Hay scored the ace yesterday morning at the short seventh hole. The $20,000 is on offer from the Acmil company and is one of four lucrative prizes that can be won with holes-in-one during the tournament.
