Staff sought in Britain
Wellington reporter The Fletcher Construction Company. Ltd. is advertising in Britain for construction and big project staff. In the “Sunday Times" of October 25 it said that New Zealand had embarked on a vigorous programme to develop energy and productrelated sources, and was also undertaking widespread industrial and commercial development. The staff needed for the construction section required experience in the multistorey commercial, industrial, and institutional, buildings. property development, and design and build activities. For the big projects, candidates should have experience in petro-chemical, pulp and paper, steel mills, cement plants, hydro works, and similar heavy industrial projects. The disciplines sought were: Construction: general managers, construction managers, contract managers, development executives, senior building estimators, project managers, and senior quantity surveyors. Big projects: project managers, civil engineers,
mechanical engineers, civil estimators, superintendents (civil, mechanical, and electrical), planning engineers, and electrical engineers. Fletcher’s will interview selected' candidates in London during November and December.
