' Nearly 4000 sq m of Residential 5 land, including four houses and a factory, in Peterborough Street and Salisbury Street, was passed in at auction last week at $60,000. Negotiations are continuing. The houses,, three bungalows and one 11/zl l /z storey, and the chair factory are at 173 to 181 Peterborough Street. The site at 186 Salisbury Street is an empty section. Mr N.. Lyall, of Christchurch Realty, was the auctioneer. Earlier this month, 14 of the 25 sections in the Rushcutters subdivision, Halswell, sold at auction for about $13,500 to $16,500. The size of the sections varied from 600 sq m to 1066 sq m. Since the auction, several more of the sections have been sold. Mr D. Murray and Mr P. Rookes, of Dayid Murray Real Estate, were the auctioneers.
