School staffing
Sir,—Why all this surprise about hundreds of teachers becoming redundant? Even the least-educated of us can put two and two together. Encourage the people to strive for zero population growth and “educate" us to abort, on average 8000 human lives annually. Multiply this figure by 10 years and we’ find the school population dropping by 100.000. Why the surprise?—Yours, etc.. MARTIN H. DEVLIN. November 17, 1981.
