Funeral of M.P.’s wife
PA Dunedin About 700 people were in Lawrence yesterday for the funeral of Mrs Mary Gray, aged 47. wife of the Member of Parliament for Clutha, Mr R. M. Gray. Mrs Thea Muldoon and Mrs Elizabeth Wellington were joined by many other Parliamentary collegues of Mr Gray’s, including members of the Labour Party. Mr J. B. Gordon, the former Minister of Labour and Mr Gray’s predecessor as member for Clutha, and Mrs Gordon were also there. The Lawrence Presbyter-; ian Church was filled' and many listened to the service through loudspeakers in the church hall. The service was conducted “ by the Rev. Helen Wallace.
