Coffee hits study
Wellington reporter High levels of caffeine consumption (the equivalent of five or more cups of coffee a day) are associated with significantly lower academic performance among students—this is the main conclusion of a study by two investigators at the University of Oklahoma in the United States. Also, students who obtained the caffeine equivalent of at least one cup of coffee daily scored higher on strain, anxiety and depression than did abstainers. High consumers reported more symptoms of poor health.
