Soloist wins Aust. title
The musical director of Continental Airlines Auckland Brass Band, Mr Errol Mason, has won the Australasian “soloist of the year” event in Sydney, playing the E flat cornet. Mr Mason was invited to compete in the event after having been named the New Zealand “champion of champions” in May. . The event was open to the winning soloists from each Australian state, Britain and New Zealand.
