Defence spending
Sir-Hurrah for defence spending cuts regretted by Major-General Poananga (“The Press,” November 7). Would that reasons other than poverty could impel us to dispose completely of our military equipment and that we could think in terms of saving life, not destroying it—Yours, etc., D. STOCKER.
