Shock retirement
NZPA-Reuter Buenos Aires The Argentinian Formula One racing driver, Carlos Reutemann, has made a shock decision to retire, said his manager, Domingo Cutulli, on Saturday. Reutemann led the World Drivers’ , Championship race for most of this season and lost the title to Brazil’s Nelson Piquet by only one point
in the final grand prix at Las Vegas. Reutemann had said: ”1 have decided I should not race any more. I had offers from various teams, which for ethical reasons I prefer not to mention, but none of them fulfilled my expectations so I am retiring from the sport.”
