Public Notices Public Notices CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND THE SCHEDULE TO THE CLEAN AIR ZONE (CHRISTCHURCH) ORDER 1977 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:— (a) That the Christchurch City Council has made an application to the Minister of Health, pursuant to Section 12 of the Clean Air Act 1972, to amend the schedule to the Clean Air Zone (Christchurch) Order 1977 by including the following appliances and approved fuels: Appliance: 1. “Woodsman Log Burner,” (a) Console Unit, (b) Inbuilt Unit - Manufactured by W. H. Harris, Ltd, Christchurch. Approved Fuel: Wood with a moisture content not exceeding 25 per cent (on wet weight) this being wood which has been cut and air dried usually for a period of not less than three months. 2. “Warmaire Regency Wood Burner Fireplace Space Heater" Manufactured by Warmaire Industries, Ltd, Auckland. Wood with a moisture content not exceeding 25 per cent (on wet weight) this being wood which has been cut and air dried usually for a period of not less than three months. (b) A copy of the application may be inspected at the Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Monday to Friday, during a period of six weeks from the date of the last publication of the Notice. (c) Within the said period any person who will be affected by the amendment may — by notice in writing to the Minister of Health and supplying a copy of the Notice to the local authority - object to the recommendation. COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY CROWN PASTORAL LEASES THE GOVERNMENT has appointed a Committee of Inquiry into aspects relating to the administration of Crown land held inter alia on pastoral leasehold tenure. In particular the Committee is required to consider the following aspects: (a) whether it is desirable to continue to have ■separate classification of farm land and pastoral land. (b) the adequacy of present policies, procedures and criteria In relation to the classification of land as pastoral land and the reclassification of land; (c) whatever might be recommended as to the classification of land, whether the terms of present Crown leases of pastoral land are equitable in relation to other classes of Crown leases and land of other tenure, and satisfactory in the public interest In respect- of (1) conditions of tenure; (2) assessment and review of rentals; (3) rights of renewal; (4) Rights to atquire the fee simple in the land; (d) and any matter directly related to the above matters.

In addition to the above the Committee is required to recommend any changes in legislation or policy regarded as necessary or expedient in respect of land which is now classified pastoral land. . Any person or organisation wishing to express views on matters relating to these terms of reference is invited to advise: Secretary, COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY INTO CROWN LEASES, C/o. Department of Lands and Survey, Head Office, Private Bag; WELLINGTON. Written submissions should be submitted by Tuesday, December 15,1981.
