Westland lambs win again

For the third year in succession the Hill Brothers, of Ngahere on the West Coast, have won the best lamb draft competition held by the Glendarren Trading Company. Ltd. . The competition is open to drafts of not less than 150 lambs and this time the Hills’ winning draft comprised 151, which were drafted by B. Parsons, of Dalgetys at Greymouth. Sanderson. said that it was. difficult to sort out the place getters in this years competition because of the varying demands in the world markets, but particular notice had been taken of average weight, in conjunction with the size of the draft and percentage of medium' to heavy weight carcases, to the exclusion of “fat" grade, carcases.
