Bastion Pt protest
PA Auckland A march to protest against the subdivision of land at Bastion Point will be held on Saturday. .The Housing Corporation is preparing 1.8 hectares of land at the point for private sale. Opponents assert that the sale of the land goes against
the agreement made in 1978 with a section of Ngati Whatua people about the future of the land. March organisers have invited the Minister of Housing (Mr Quigley) and the Mayor of Auckland. Mr Colin Kay, to speak at the protest march and a rally afterwards.
