Court clears Amin aide
NZPA-Reuter Kampala Bob Astles, an aide to the former Ugandan dictator, Idi Amin, was acquitted yesterday by the High Court in Kampala on a charge of the murder of a schoolboy on Lake Victoria in 1977. Mr Justice Manyindo, who had presided over the twoweek trial, ordered Astles’ immediate release after the decision unless more charges were to be brought against him. . police escort and taken back to Luzira Prison, where he has been held for 2Vz years since he was extradited from Kenya to be tried on a charge of the murder of Henry Musisi, aged 16. A senior Ugandan police officer said after yesterday's judgment that Astles could be tried on another charge of murder, or armed robbery. He might be tried also for alleged involvement in the killing of the Ugandan Anglican Archbishop, Dr Janan Luwum. in February, 1977,
