Amnesty kit for schools
PA Wellington The New Zealand section of Amnesty International has produced for post-primary pupils a discussion kit on human rights. Compiled by Amnesty's New Zealand treasurer, and a former secondary school teacher, Mrs Sue Ineson, the kit is illustrated with catchy cartoon-type drawings detailing violations of human rights and raises questions on such aspects as “fair trials" and torture.
The kit suggests how pupils can help “prisoners of conscience" and outlines the effectiveness of Amnesty campaigns.
