General forecast: The anti-cyclone ’ is expected to move only slowly eastwards and fine weather should continue in most districts. However, a northwesterly airstream is expected to spread on to the south of the South Island ahead of a weak cold front which should reach the far south of the South Island about mid-day. easterlies about the coast but light winds inland. Nelson, Buller; Milder, light winds. Marlborough: Moderate northerlies gradually prevailing; fine, milder. Westland: Moderate westerlies; fine in the north but becoming mostly cloudy in the south, with some rain possible later.
