Quick recovery
NZPA staff correspondent Sydney My Axeman has made a swift recovery from injury and may start in the $30,000 Linlithgow Stakes (1400 m at Flemington on November 5. The five-year-old Crimson God gelding suffered a setback when he injured a shoulder and leg in the Caulfield Cup on October 17. His trainer, Colin McColl, predicted that My Axeman might recover in time for just one minor race before returning home to New Zealand in the middle of next month.
