Firm trend evident
Share prices were firmer in mixed, moderately active trading, on Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. The N.Z.U.C. industrial index rose 2.33 points to close at 630.57, and market leaders were more prominent in the rises. Donaghys gained 20c to 180 c in response to news that Brierley Investments had acquired a 10 per cent interest in the company. Brierley eased 1c to 425 c ex dividend and rights. Canterbury Frozen Meat was steady at 365 c after its good profit announcement.
