The Mockers, of Wellington, are making rare South Island appearances in Christchurch this week, at the Gladstone Hotel. Commitments such as work and university studies have meant that the band has not had the chance to play too often outside Well-
ington. It has released two singles to date,- "Good Old Days f '/“Murder In Manners Street,” and “Trendy Lefties,” both on independent labels. The latter was especially good, but did not feature in the national charts — it apparently sold well enough
— because of some promotional mistakes. @ The Mockers live up to their name in the above photograph by taking the mickey out of a certain frog puppet. The band are, from left, Gary Curtis, Charlie Mannell, Dale Monaghan, and Andrew Fagan.
