Work appreciated
Sir,—A work scheme has been in use in the city for a number of years. It is the Justice Department scheme for young men on detention. These men are doing some really worthwhile jobs in the community, chopping and delivering firewood, gardening, painting houses for pensioners and others in need of help. We have recently had our houses painted- by a group of these young meh and they did a firstclass job. Our thanks to the boys concerned and to their supervisor.—Yours, etc., W. and L. GRAHAM, M. SNELSON. October 26. 1981.
