Royal bomb scare

NZPA London A firebomb was found yesterday in a town where the Prince and Princess of Wales will go on a walkabout later this week. Worried , police chiefs ordered the already tight security for the Royal couple’s three-day tour of Wales, starting today, to be rechecked after the discovery of the device in an Army careers office.

The firebomb, thought to be the work of Welsh extremists, was found in the recruiting office at Pontypridd, Mid-Glamorgan after a telephone warning. It was made safe by an Army bomb disposal team.
