One-day cricket match
The Canterbury cricket team will have a one-day early season match against Wellington but the date and the venue have still to be determined. Canterbury will seek to have the match played at Hagley Oval on either November 29 or December 13; One of the reasons to be presented to Wellington for holding the match in Christchurch is that the Shell one-day game between the teams will be played in Wellington. A reciprocal match at the alternate venue will be arranged for next season.
Only the second, third and fourth grades will havfe lowergrade representative matches arranged this season. The sections panels appointed at the C.C.A.’s management committee last evening were: Second grade. Messrs K. I. Hartshorne (convener), R. Kinsey, J. Durning. Third grade, Messrs M. J.
