Prisoner escapes
A prison inmate who escaped from a prison van outside the Christchurch Railway Station yesterday had not been found by late last evening. Phillip Michael Robertson, aged 22. was last seen sprinting through the goods yard at the station about 2.45 p.m., according to the police. Robertson made his escape after he had been brought south by train under an escort of prison officers. He is a European, of medium build, with brown hair and grey eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, jandals, and a brown jacket with a grey patch on the back. He is not believed to be dangerous.
