Agca on fast
Mehmet Ali Agca, convicted of trying to kill Pope John Paul, has started a hunger strike at the maximum security prison where he is serving a life sentence, the news agency, Italia, has said. There was no. word on when he began the strike or any demands he might have made. During his trial in July, Agca demanded that he be turned over to Vatican authorities, and said he would go on hunger strike if his demands were not met. — Rome.
