Cricket format
The Canterbury cricket competition will be run in two district sections this season. The first competition will involve a full round of two-day games ending on January 23. The second competition will be a full round of one-day games, it was decided at the Canterbury Cricket Associations management committee meeting last evening. It was agreed that the one-day games be of 60 overs with no over limit on the bowlers, in spite of the fears, of some committee members that teams would load their' sides with medium pace bowlers.
