Library action ends
PA Wellington Education Department librarians will return to normal work as long as departmental proposals for cutting library services are acceptable to them, a Public Service Association spokesman has said. Four librarians and one assistant at the head office
library began industrial action eight weeks ago; saying that they were forced to work excessive unpaid overtime because they were short of two assistariis,. t . The department has suggested a number of services which could be reduced to relieve the work-load on the present staff, but has declined to appoint new staff.
