Convincing squash wins
PA Napier The top-rated boys’ teams, Auckland and Hawke’s BayGisborne convincingly won their first round matches.in the New Zealand junior squash teams’ championships at Napier yesterday, scoring 4-0 wins over Northland and Canterbury respectively.
Canterbury’s Mark Crosbie took one set off the Hawke’s Bay-Gisborne No. 1, Stuart Davenport, the winner of the individual open title, but never threatened seriously. Results: Auckland 4, Northland 0; Hawke’s Bay-Gisborne 4, Canterbury 0; Bay of Plenty 2, Wellington 2; Waikato 2, leading Central 1.
