The appointee will report to the Director of Finance and be responsible for the effective operation of the Financial Reporting System. The appointee will be required to liase effectively with staff at all levels and to discuss matters affecting the Board’s financial resources, systems, etc, with Heads of Medical and Service Departments. This is a vital and challenging post in. the accounting team with the appointee required to contribute to the implementation of new accounting and reporting systems and to the management planning and allocation of financial resources. The Board’s expenditure for 1981/82 will exceed Sl3O million and because of the size of our organisation the appointee will receive experience in all aspects of accounting and of management. The successful applicant is likely to be a suitably qualified Chartered Accountant or Commerce Graduate, having preferably at least two years practical experience and possess the ability to motivate staff and make management decisions.
