Prices higher in most sections

Values showed a general upward trend at Addington market yesterday. Prime lambs gained $1.50 to $3, two and four-tooth wethers showed a $2 to $3 rise in the prime sheep section, and there was a lift in store sheep values with the prospect of feed growing when the weather warms. For only a limited offering of prime cattle, values for better types jumped about $2O. In the store pens steer calves brought to $236 and heifer calves to $162. Store sheep There was more interest in a store sheep offering of about 3086 head, including 1394 ewes and lambs. 744 in-lamb ewes and 948 ewe and wether lambs. The selection was mixed. For ewes and lambs, values were up about $1.50 on last week. The best of the ewes and lambs realised from about $l3 to $l4 all counted, average about $ll to $12.50 and others down to about $lO.
