PDL at new peak
PDL Holdings rose a further 10c to a new peak of 300 c on a firmer, moderately active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. Other Christchurch companies to improve included Canterbury Timber Products, Associated British Cables, Printing and Packaging, and Command Services Corporation, the latter after a good profit report last week. Market leaders showed signs of recovering from the recent weak trend. Bing Harris firmed 1c to 106 c after Brierley Investment’s bid,' but BNZ Finance ordinary shares were unquoted oh the Christchurch Invercargill Stock Exchange after news that the Bank of New Zealand was seeking to increase its shareholding. Cue Energy fell 4c to 21c from Monday’s debut price, but the options firmed 1c to Bc. . ■ '
