Owen Wilkes held
NZPA-Reuter Stockholm
Owen Wilkes, a New Zealander convicted in Norway in June of revealing military secrets, had been arrested in Stockholm on suspicion of espionage, said Swedish security police yesterday. The Swedish police said that data on Swedish air defence stations had been found in Mr Wilkes’s possession.
He had not denied the charge, but alleged that the information was gathered for his personal interest and was not intended to be published.
