Record Month at Car Auction Turners Car Auctions announced today that they sold in excess of 200 vehicles during June, setting a new record for sales in one month. The Christchurch manager Mr S. B. Clarke stated that this was quite an achievement considering that the winter months are generally considered to be a quiet period for used vehicle sales. Mr Clarke accredits this to people’s greater acceptance of this new concept as a no hassle method of selling their vehicle for a top price. It is the late model low mileage vehicles or earlier models of clean original appearance that attract the most interest and therefore the top prices. Turners Car Auctions have been selling vehicles with great success in Auckland for more than 20 years and it would seem that the Christchurch operation is now well established and destined to follow a similar pattern. —Advt
